Worldwide Candle Lighting Day Cards

An annual, international event begun in the late 1990s in which bereaved families, friends and support groups light candles simultaneously at 7:00 PM local time on the same day to create a 24‑hour wave of light around the globe. The observance honors children and loved ones who have died, raises awareness of grief and bereavement, and offers a shared moment of remembrance and support; it is organized by bereavement and support organizations (including chapters of The Compassionate Friends and many local groups) and observed in many countries.
