National Kite Flying Day Cards

An informal observance celebrating the pastime and sport of kite flying. Kite flying has roots in ancient China (military, scientific and ceremonial uses) and is central to traditional festivals worldwide (for example Makar Sankranti in India, Basant in South Asia, and the Weifang International Kite Festival in China). 'National Kite Flying Day' is not a single, federally recognized holiday in most countries; instead it is observed by communities, schools, clubs and event organizers on various dates to promote outdoor recreation, craftsmanship, cultural traditions and competitive kite flying.
