National FiletOFish Day Cards

An observance celebrating the Filet-O-Fish® sandwich introduced by McDonald's in 1962. The sandwich was created by Cincinnati franchisee Lou Groen to provide a non-meat option for Catholic customers during Lent; after a test vs. the Hula Burger it became a permanent menu item and a long-standing McDonald's trademarked product. The day is used to highlight the sandwich's history, its role in fast-food menu diversification, and occasional promotional offers by McDonald's.
