Family Day Cards
A public holiday intended to celebrate and encourage spending time with family and close friends. The modern holiday was first introduced in Canada (Alberta introduced the first provincial Family Day in 1990) and was later adopted by several other Canadian provinces and territories on similar dates. Ontario established its Family Day in 2008; many provinces observe it on the third Monday in February, though exact names and dates vary by jurisdiction (some provinces use different names such as Louis Riel Day or Islander Day, and British Columbia has historically observed a Family Day on a different Monday). In some countries the term βFamily Dayβ is used for other public holidays (for example, in South Africa the Monday after Easter is commonly referred to as Family Day). The holiday has no single universal origin but reflects modern efforts to create a dedicated day for family time and community well-being.
